CES Quality Standards
CES products are manufactured to the relevant British – EN standards with a certificate of entitlement to use the B.S.I. kitemark.
The B.S.I. system not only regulates the quality and consistency of the final product but also the following:
- The Production process from daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and observation checks to quarterly calibration of all weighing equipment.
- Transport and delivery process to ensure timely deliveries and that working time of concrete is monitored from when it is batched until it’s offloaded.
As well as the ready mix, floor screed and concrete products being tested, all the materials that make up the mixes are also certified in their own right.
With the BSI system we can ensure your concrete products are always of the highest quality and meet the approved standards. Routine independent quality testing is carried out by Construction Testing Services (UKAS accredited) materials testing company. www.constructiontestingservices.com Test certificates are available on request.
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized quality management system. The system is based on continuous improvement of quality in terms of service and product. The management system is internally audited on a monthly basis and externally audited annually by a UKAS accredited auditing company.
Areas such as raw material quality, internal and external calibration of weighing equipment and grading results are all audited to maintain quality.
Blacktop Quality Standards
Blacktop products produced at the Ballynahinch site are produced under a BSI quality management system that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, the requirements of the National Highways Sector Scheme 14; quality requirements for the production of asphalt mixes, and meet the requirements of BS EN 13108 for bituminous mixtures: Asphalt.
Integrated Management System
CES Quarry Products Ltd operate an Integrated Management System that meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. The Integrated Management System meets the Factory Production Control requirements for all products that CES produce.
Quality areas such as raw material quality, internal and external calibration of weighing equipment and grading results are all audited to maintain quality as part of the integrated management system.
Environmental areas such as waste management, spillage response, consumption of energy and noise are internally audited to maintain environmental compliance as part of the integrated management system.
Health & Safety areas such as risk assessment, fire, transport, manual handling and health surveillance are internally audited to maintain Health & Safety compliance as part of the integrated management system.
