Q. What type of ready mix concrete do I need for...?
- Foundations – 20 Newton with 20mm stones
- Sub-floor – 20N 20mm stones

Q. How do I calculate how much ready mix concrete I need?
Lcm x Wcm x Dcm = M³
If you work it out in inches, multiply your answer by 0.25
If you work it out in feet, multiply your answer by 0.3

Q. How do I calculate how much floor screed I need?
Work out as above (Ready Mix Concrete)
Q. What weight is a metre³ of ready mix concrete?
2.3 tonne
Q. How many tonne equals a metre³ of quarry stone?
Approx 2 tonne
Q. How long is the mortar usable for?
48-72 hours. Additives can be added to make it last until 72 hours. It will only keep providing it is covered with plastic and not allowed to dry out.
Q. How many blocks can you build with a tub of building mortar?
Approx 120 blocks on their flat
Approx 180 blocks on their edge
Q. How much does a mortar tub contain?
It contains 0.33m³
Q. What strength are blocks?
Blocks come in strengths 7N, 10N and 15N. Other strengths will be special orders. Most general blocks will be 7N, load bearing walls will be 10N or above.

Q. What width is a lorry?
Most of the lorries are approximately 2.44m (8ft) in width
Q. How much does a lorry carry?
Block Lorry – 1056x100mm(4”) blocks, 792x300mm(12”) blocks or 768x140mm(6”) Blocks. Any mix of different sizes can be delivered up to the lorries maximum weight, please contact CES Quarry Products for details.

Q. Is there a minimum quantity if I collected it myself from your site?
No minimum collection amount for blocks or stones. The smallest amount of concrete we can batch is 0.3m³
Q. Is there a minimum delivery quantity?
There is no minimum delivery
Q. If I collect material on site how long before closing time should I be in?
For concrete and mortar 1 hour before closing time.
For stones and blocks 30mins before closing time.
