CES Quarry Products Ltd are proud of our on-going environmental policies and have spent a great deal of time and investment on improving production, production sites and disposing of waste materials in relation to improving the surrounding environment.
CES Quarry Products Ltd have a very strong Environmental policy and are very proud of what we have achieved to date. As we operate our business in the outstandingly beautiful area of County Down (Northern Ireland), with seven production sites spread out across the county, we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously.
CES have commenced an Environmental Management Scheme (EMS) across all our production sites, which enables us to work towards an ISO14000:2004 environmental standard.
CES have instigated the following action plans across the majority of our sites:
- Over-Head spray bars to dampen loads upon exiting our sites.
- Wheel wash systems in place at the exits of our sites.
- Set up a CES Environmental Department to deal with all related issues.
- Some of the departments duties include fast and efficient correspondence with environmental bodies, weekly internal checks of compliance with environmental checks and action taken & instigating pro-active environmental ideas and projects.
- Issued an environmental training book to all staff involved in our environmental scheme.
- Employ an external landscape company to improve the entrances to our sites, also to plant new trees to our already mature site boundaries (using local indigenous trees).
- Keep our sites dampened to alleviate dust.
- Clean the entrances of our sites with the CES road cleaner.
- During free periods assign some of our staff environmental tasks to complete.
CES Quarry Products Ltd have further environmental improvement plans for our production sites and processes. We will be up-dating this page with new developments as and when they happen, so watch this space!
