Waste Management Plan for non saleable products
This report will provide evidence of CES commitment towards the environment through its aggressive waste management plan for non saleable products by ensuring waste is disposed of in a correct manner through appropriate internal and external channels. Also where possible CES have created processes to reintroduce former waste by-products (or excess products) back into the production process. The achieved result is a reduction in virgin rock consumption and an improvement in efficiency.
Current waste management processes include:

Construction & Demolition (C&D)
CES Quarry Products Ltd have full planning permission to place a construction and demolition plant in our Saintfield production site that will recycle internal and external customer construction and demolition waste products. The diagram below illustrates the waste materials we will eventually process.

- Products 1 and 2 will be collected by an external company for recycling.
- Aggregate will be reintroduced into the CES production process and/or sold back to the customer, saving on virgin rock consumption.
The final process of the recycling plant (See CES Recycling Process) produces a product called CES ‘Pressed Cake’. This product occurs through the extraction of -75 microns from the rock fines which separates the component and leaves a ‘Pressed Cake’.
A market for this product is currently being sought by CES Quarry Products Ltd. To view a step by step slideshow of our pressed cake process, click on the image below.
CES Quarry Products Ltd are currently investigating the possibility of shredding used tyres from our vehicles for animal bedding. Please check our website in the near future for updates.
